Loyal

Brand Identity + Web Design

This was a project I was a part of with my team at The Engine Is Red. We were approached to develop a consumer-facing brand and website for a company developing drugs to help extend the lives of large breed dogs.

The Brand Mark & Animation

After an insight phase, we settled on the name "Loyal" (a designer's dream come true). Then, we quickly got to work on what the mark could look like. We knew we wanted it to feel both friendly, and reflective of the animals we are striving to help with the company's products.

I was also able to help bring the mark to life with some fun animation in After Effects.

Website

We wanted to tell a story about the problems the brand is hoping to solve, and the solutions proposed by the brand. Illustration felt like a wise choice for these needs, since it allowed for some fun moments of delight, but was also suitable for explaining abstract and scientific concepts visually.

Illustrations

Illustration subjects ranged from large breed dogs facing particular ailments to dogs enjoying their lives normally, and more. We also created some illustrations to visualize abstract concepts such as genome mapping, and applying machine learning to computational biology in order to determine a good drug fit for individual dogs.
